Apples under crumble - the perfect autumn desert !!

28th October, 2019
I'm crazy about apples! They have been my biggest craving since becoming pregnant with my son. I bake apple pies in all possible ways and forms, I press juice out of apples and mostly eat them in the original, my favourite version, fresh and juicy. I am a massive fan of baked apples as well as everyone in my house. It's a great and healthy snack that everyone will love and enjoy. Take a look below how quick and easy this delicious recipe is !!

Apples under crumble ingredients:
apples (preferably hard and sour)
honey
cinnamon
walnuts
optional: raspberries for decoration

Crumble:
90g butter
125g flour
80g brown sugar

How to make it...
For this recipe, it's best to choose slightly harder and more sour apples. They will go well with the sweet toppings. Cut the hats off the washed apples and remove their seed nests. A small teaspoon with a pointed tip will come in handy for this step. In a separate bowl, mix chopped apples, honey and nuts. Put the stuffing inside the apples and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon. Cover the apples with crumble made from butter, flour and brown sugar. Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees (until the crumble is brown). Serve with fresh raspberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream !!
