4 delicious ways to keep your child hydrated in summer!

Child's body consists of 65 percent of water. Every loss of valuable fluids is dangerous to them, therefore it is very important to regularly irrigate our little one's body, especially in summer when the thermometers reach high digits. Of course in practice, it's not that easy. Caught up playing in the sun kicking ball, building sand castles or splashing in the pool - ain't no body got time to drink water. Here are my four yummy and not so boring ideas to keep your little people hydrated.
1. Fruit and veggies
Water is available not only in taps and bottles but fruit and vegetables too! One of the fruit that contains the most water are watermelons! Each delicious and juicy bite is composed of up to 92 percent of water. What's even better - it also contains potassium and magnesium, which are electrolytes necessary for hydration of the body. Choose fruit such as strawberries, oranges, pineapples, grapefruit, peaches, mangoes or apples. Among the vegetables family, the largest amount of water is also hidden in cucumber, tomatoes, radishes or bell peppers. Does your child get bored of eating fruit or vegetables? Whip up a colourful mouth watering fruit and veggie salad.
2. Soup for dinner!
Doctors and dietitians agree that 20 percent of water should be provided in each meal. How to do it? Easy, soups play the perfect role for it. Tomato, chicken, veggie soup? Which one is your child's favourite? You will find thousands of recipes across the internet or even few on my blog!

3. Cocktails and smoothies
Does your child like to drink water? Many children, just like adults struggle with it and that's understandable. Swap it for a nutritious and delicious smoothie. Chuck a bunch of healthy and sweet fruit with a glass of water or milk into the blender and don't forget to smuggle in some veggies like a drug lord. Use frozen fruit such as berries, or ice cubes to make it nice, cool and even more enjoyable on a hot, sunny day.

4. Herbal or fruity brew...
Cooled herbal or fruit tea, brewed with a fresh leaf of mint or a slice of ginger can be so refreshing. Boil the kettle and pour the water in a large jug with some organic tea bags, my daughter's favourite combination is peach flavoured tea, chamomile and nettle brew with fresh mint and a spoon of honey.
